Explore Ryokans in Tokyo >
Ryokans are the perfect way to discover old Japanese culture and traditions. Many embassies are located in Roppongi, which makes it a very popular living area for foreigners. Huge redevelopment projects in recent years like the Izumi Garden Tower, Roppongi Hills or Tokyo Midtown gave this district an additional boost. A must-see for art lovers are The National Art Center, Mori Art Museum and Suntory Museum of Art.

In 1923 during the Great Kanto Earthquake Roppongi was completely destroyed and the same happened in the bombings of World War 2.
