Facts & Figures
After visiting hundreds of destinations across Japan, I created this category — Japan Trips of a Lifetime — to share unique journeys for both long and short stays, helping you make the most of your time. For first-time visitors to Japan, I would always start with the Japan’s Big Three: the capital, Tokyo; the former capital, Kyoto; and Japan’s most iconic symbol, Mount Fuji. You can fit all three into one week for a first glimpse of this amazing country. This category will grow quickly, so come back regularly for more inspiration. My biggest adventure so far has been my visit to Yakushima Island.
