Here is just a short list of things about why Kamakura, where this photo was taken, near Yokohama is for me one of the best places for living in Japan. It has an amazing beach at the Sagami-Bay, a great surfer culture, a different youthful vibe, nice mountains for hiking, beautiful temples and shrines like the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, fantastic restaurants, bike friendly infrastructure, hosting the second largest Buddha statue - Kamakura Daibutsu - of the country….ok I stop here:) But now you know why I have spent countless hours at this place.
