In Japan the koi carp is a symbol of prosperity, luck and good fortune. They were originally raised by rice farmers in China. My favourite color combination is the one resembling the flag of Japan. Check the picture closely and you will spot my number one. It is so peaceful to watch their graceful movements in the water. This picture was taken during my visit of the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise in Yokohama.
