Akabane in Tokyo
My 100 Best Moments in Japan - 58/100connecting Saitama with Akabane
The Akabane area in Tokyo is not a typical tourist spot, but there are many things which makes this place so special for me. I started my exploration with a walk along the river banks of the Arakawa River. It is really rare that you find such an wide and open space in this densely populated city. This place was created to be prepared for heavy floods, which is now used for any kind of sports activities or in my case picnic and party activites:) The bridge in this picture is connecting the Saitama prefecture with Tokyo Akabane.
